IndyCar officials presented a 17-race calendar for the 2015 season on Thursday.
As previously confirmed, the campaign kicks off with a road race at the Autodromo Internacional Nelson Piquet in Brasilia on March 8, before the first domestic round at St. Petersburg three weeks later.
The other new addition, NOLA Motorsports Park, slots in as the third event on April 12.
Six oval tracks are featured, with the Indianapolis 500 slated as the first on its usual May 24 date.
Detroit is the only double-header on its return to the roster, with Houston losing its place and Toronto being reduced to one race to avoid a clash with the Pan American Games.
Next season’s finale will be staged at Sonoma Raceway, with Fontana’s Auto Club Speedway – which had held the slot for the past three years – getting a new date in June.
The 2015 season will take place over a six-month period.
